Life in Corporate world
Life in corporate world is really like fighting a war with the only difference that you will not end up dead in the end.(Although the attitude of some people will make u feel that u would be better off dead). But anyways, everyday is a like a small skirmish. Days before your delivery date(I don't mean pregnancy but the 'labour pain' is analogous in both.) are like battles with high levels of suspicion in the team. Everyone is bent upon blaming the failures, crashes and bugs on the other teammates. Once the rollout happens without any surprises everything calms down like a post-storm tranqulity. The last rollout for me was somewhat like that. Words were used as weapons to inflict maximum damage to anyone who tried to 'suggest ' anything. One thing very particular about some people that I would like to bring into light is their 'power of suggestion'. No matter how deep-shit you are in some people in your team will always suggest whether or not how absurd that suggestion is. In the perspective of software engineers the suggestors are the ones who did not fare well in Software Engineering course. Another common thing is the Tech Leads (no more than leed in hindi) are the ones who get you most into trouble. They will ask you to make changes which might get you into trouble and then you will be left alone to take the flak from every flank in the team. I guess I already wrote enough to piss off anyone from my company who reads this. But its okay ... what the hell ... More on the pseudo fortune 20 companies ... coming soon...
